Ik kwam toevallig een wereldranglijst van de 50 mijl tegen. Volgens die lijst sta ik voor 2007 op een 18e plaats. Ik weet niet hoe correct en volledig die lijst is, maar ik vind niet direct fouten of ontbrekende wedstrijden. Behalve dan dat ik er als Nederlander op sta. Zoals te verwachten viel is het hoofdzakelijk een Amerikaanse aangelegenheid (de 50 mijl is daar een erg populaire afstand). Ik heb ook niet zo’n goed zicht op de moeilijkheid van alle wedstrijden. Mijn wedstrijd was in elk geval behoorlijk lastig en met weinig verzorginspunten. Maar dat kan voor de andere races natuurlijk ook opgaan.
